White Lake Picture Framing is owned by Pam Milliette and her husband; Merrill. In 1988 Pam learned to design and frame pictures in Europe while Merrill was stationed there in the Military. Pam managed a frame shop in Graham, WA when the couple returned from overseas. When Merrill retired they moved home to Colville where Pam was raised. With the help of her husband and family their frame shop was built on White Mud Lake, the same property once owned by her grandparents.
Pam's education includes training in color, texture and design. She has won numerous awards with her art: oil paintings, pastels, and pen and inks. Her love for the Needle Arts (Cross-stitch, crewel and needlepoint) has also brought her many awards.
White Lake Picture Framing is a member of the Professional Picture Framing Association, (PPFA) the international trade organization for the Art and Framing industry. Membership with this association is a testament to the desire to provide creative, responsible framing solutions that meets the need of all customers.
Pam successfully met PPFA's rigorous testing of framing standards to attain the Certified Picture Framer (CPF®) designation in 1993. She has taken numerous classes and workshops with some of the framing industry's most talented professionals. She continues to attend Trade Shows and other educational events yearly.
White Lake Picture Framing follows the high standards of Fine Art Care and Treatment Standards (FACTS). This non-profit organization was the first to establish conservation framing guidelines in 1995.
The goal of White Lake Picture Framing is not only to design and frame your art, but also to AMAZE you! Through knowledge and education your art will be enjoyed for years to come.
